We've probably caught more fish with this fly than any other. A stripped down variation of Lance Egan's Rainbow Warrior with a flashy body doesn’t look like anything in particular, it mimics a midge larva or mayfly nymph. There's an inherent bugginess about this fly and purple is one of those colors that seems to drive trout crazy.
Fish this fly year round as a point fly on a nymph rig or a dropper beneath a dry fly.
