This fly combines a frenchie, a pheasant tail, and a partridge soft hackle into a slayer that covers most of the major bugs that are available to fish in a river or stream. We usually have a soft hackle fly on our rig or next up in the rotation, and this weighted version can be placed at any position in your nymphing setup or as a dropper below a dry fly.
