RIO Products Elite Leviathan Fly Line

Big flies and hard strip-sets ask more from a line than typical flats tapers. The RIO Elite Leviathan is a tropical-focused, short-head fly line meant for the largest saltwater species. It uses a short, heavy head to load powerful saltwater rods quickly, and an aggressive front taper that helps turn over bulky patterns without needing a long carry. For the connection, RIO uses low-stretch DirectCore for firmer strip-sets. SlickCast coating is there for slickness and durability.

Across the grain weights, the idea stays the same: a compact, heavy head. The higher grains suit heavier rods and larger flies when you want the line to do more of the lifting.
