RIO Products Saltwater Leaders

This leader suits the saltwater angler who wants a straightforward tapered setup for everyday fly fishing. RIO’s Saltwater Leader is a 10 foot, knotless tapered leader made from a medium-stiff material that’s intended for strong knots and abrasion resistance. RIO positions it as a general-purpose saltwater leader, with a taper meant to turn over typical saltwater flies without drama.

Strength options run from 8 pound up through 20 pound. We carry singles in 8, 10, 12, 16, and 20 pound, plus 12 and 20 pound in 3 packs.
