The Sage SALT R8 is a saltwater fly rod series that runs from a light 6wt/9' for dead-calm, skinny-water work up through heavier 9' models for permit, snook, baby tarpon, bull redfish, and bigger tarpon. Sage also offers a 15wt/8'6" for the top end of the range.
Across the line weights, the intent shifts from light-flies and soft-wind bonefish and redfish days to heavier flies, stronger wind, and bigger fish.
