Hareline Badger Flexi Squishenille

What it is

Hareline Badger Flexi Squishenille is a UV chenille built on a dark badger core with UV Ice Dub fibers and UV Badger Flexi Squishenille fibers worked into it. It has a squishy feel with high movement in the water, and the contrasting dark core shows through while the fibers kick and reflect UV.

What to tie with it

Use it like classic chenille: palmer or straight-wrap it for bodies and thoraxes on nymphs and streamers, and it also works as a body material on poppers. It shines when you want motion without adding extra steps, and it’s at home on shrimp patterns and other saltwater crustaceans. Tying guides also use it as a direct substitute anywhere a pattern calls for standard chenille.

It’s a natural fit for Woolly Buggers, where it makes a lively, UV-reactive body for trout in rivers, bass in lakes and ponds, and stillwater species like panfish. Wrapped as the body on shrimp and other saltwater crustacean patterns, it’s used for redfish and seatrout on flats and around grass and sand. In nymph form as a thorax or body wrap, it’s a simple way to add movement for trout in tailwaters.
