RIO Products Premier GOLD XP Fly Line

Longer casts with dries, then a quick change to a dry-dropper or a light indicator rig, asks for a line that turns over without feeling clunky up close. RIO’s Premier GOLD XP is a weight-forward floating line with a mid-length head and a half-size heavy grain weight. RIO calls it their most versatile taper in the GOLD lineup, with “extra power” compared to classic GOLD.

The medium-long rear taper and balanced body are aimed at steadier turnover when you add an indicator and nymphs, and at carrying line for distance with dries. In this run from WF3F through WF8F, the line weight stays the same concept; you’re just matching it to the rod and the size of the rig.
