The main choice in the Shift LT range is whether you need the larger-frame features found in the 7/8 and 9/10, or you’re staying in the 3/4 and 5/6 sizes.
Across all sizes, Sage uses a sealed carbon drag and a large-arbor layout for faster line pickup. Drag changes are handled with Sage’s One Revolution Drag Knob, meant to make quick, precise adjustments without a bulky drag package.
Step up to the 7/8 or 9/10 and Sage adds an increased bushing length to cut down on play in the system. That matters most when you’re pushing into bigger reel sizes and want a tighter, more stable feel.
