It uses 60 g PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation, so it keeps insulating when it gets damp, and Patagonia adds a durable water repellent finish to shed light moisture. The regular fit layers cleanly over a sun hoody or under a shell. Storage is simple and secure with two zippered handwarmer pockets plus an internal zippered chest pocket. A full-length front zipper and an adjustable hem help seal out drafts. Patagonia lists the fabric as 100% recycled polyester, and the vest weighs 235 g (8.3 oz).
