Baetis Competition Tungsten

The Baetis Competition Tungsten is a finely tuned fly designed for serious anglers who demand precision and performance on the water. This pattern imitates the Baetis nymph—commonly known as the Blue-Winged Olive—which is one of the most important food sources for trout, especially in cool, clear streams and during shoulder seasons.
Featuring a slim, natural-profile body and a hot-colored collar (often chartreuse, orange, or pink), this fly offers just the right amount of flash to catch a trout’s attention without overdoing it. The tungsten bead helps it sink quickly to reach feeding zones, making it ideal for Euro nymphing, tight-line techniques, or under an indicator.
