The Fishpond Tacky Fly Dock is an external fly holder for quick changes and for drying flies between stops. The MagPad versions use a rare earth magnet and Tacky silicone slit storage. Fishpond rates them for up to 10 flies in the slits, plus a magnetic tray for loose patterns, including large articulated flies. They mount to an exterior Velcro® patch, or to a four-way attachment point using the fold-over Velcro® strap.
The Tacky Grande Fly Dock MagPad is the larger platform, with a bigger magnetic tray for oversized streamers and articulated patterns. Fishpond notes it contains magnets and should not be used with a pacemaker or similar medical device.
The Fly Dock 2.0 is the hard-surface option. It uses a 3M™ adhesive strip and has space for up to 15 flies, with an adhesive-backed Velcro® strip for use on Velcro® pads.
