What it is
The Hareline Center Stage Fly Display is a compact bench-top fly display stand built around a foam strip and a foam base pad. The foam grips hooks securely so you can park flies upright at the bench while they dry or while you’re checking proportions. It’s made to hold flies steady without them sliding around.
What to tie with it
Use it as the “last step” tool for finished flies: stick them in the foam to dry head cement or resin, and line a few up to compare sizes and profiles side-by-side. It also works as a little organizer on your desk so current projects don’t end up loose in a tray. Some tyers also use it as a place to hold flies while handling them with pliers.
Flies and the fish they're for
This is a display and drying tool, so it’s used across categories rather than for one style of fly. You’ll see it on benches tying dry flies and terrestrials for trout on rivers and spring creeks, and nymphs and beadheads for trout and panfish in moving and still water. It’s just as useful when you’re finishing saltwater patterns for redfish, snook, and stripers, where you’re often waiting on adhesives to set and want a safe place to stage multiple flies.
