What it is
Hareline Chocklett’s Finesse Body Chenille is a synthetic chenille built for modern articulated baitfish patterns. It’s slightly less dense than Chocklett’s Body Wrap, but it still holds up well and gives you enhanced micro-movement in the water when it’s wrapped and worked.
What to tie with it
Use it for palmering chenille to build baitfish bodies on shanks and hooks, especially on Game Changer-style flies where you want a lot of subtle action with each strip and pause. It’s also handy for front wraps and for dressing multiple shanks, and tyers will even use it as a collar on the tail after other tail materials are in.
Flies and the fish they're for
This is a core material for Blane Chocklett’s Game Changer and the Finesse Changer, both of which are fished as articulated baitfish for predators that key on minnows. In freshwater that puts it in play for smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, and trout that are willing to chase. In saltwater it translates cleanly to the same style of baitfish profile for striped bass and redfish when you’re swimming it through current and along structure.

Compared with Chocklett’s Body Wrap, Finesse Body Chenille is slightly less dense, which helps keep the wraps lighter while still giving you durable, lively movement.
