What it is
Chocklett’s Gummy Wings is a translucent synthetic wing material with realistic venation built into the sheet. It’s easy to cut to shape and easy to handle at the vise, so you can make matched wings or consistent segments without fighting the material.
What to tie with it
Use it for wings on large dry flies and for wingcases on nymphs. Most tyers cut it into paired wing shapes or trim it into a wingcase blank, then tie it down cleanly over the top of the hook to lock in that veined, translucent look.
