What it is

Hareline Core C1270 is a curved nymph hook with a long, curved shank that naturally sets up slim-to-bulky bodies with a bent profile. It has a chemically sharpened point and a small barb, and it runs from sizes 4 through 24.

What to tie with it

Use it when you want length plus a curve: long-bodied nymphs, larvae, scuds, and midge patterns all sit nicely on this shape, and it’s a clean base for caddis emerger-style ties. It also crosses over into certain dry flies where a longer shank helps build a bigger silhouette, like large terrestrials, large-bodied stoneflies, and a Stimulator.
