What it is
The Hareline Core C4647 Jig is a 60-degree jig hook built to ride point-up. It’s barbless, finished in black nickel, and made with a sharp point for clean penetration when you’re tight-line nymphing or jigging flies along the bottom.
What to tie with it
Use it for Czech nymphs and other jigged nymph patterns where you want the hook to track inverted and stay out of the rocks. It also works for inverted streamers tied with the weight at the front so the hook point rides up and comes through wood, grass, and cobble with fewer snags.
Flies and the fish they're for
This hook is a natural fit for the Jelly Jig, a simple jig-style nymph that gets fished for trout in rivers and tailwaters, especially on Euro-nymph rigs where the point-up ride helps you stay in contact near the bottom. It also fits jig nymphs in the “Duracell” style that anglers use for trout when they need a snag-resistant profile that can be hopped and ticked through faster runs.
