What it is
Hareline Creepy Crawley Ice Dub is a synthetic dubbing made from Ice Dub with added crinkled fibers mixed in. Those crinkles give it a sparkly, buggy look with lots of little ends that kick out like legs when you build a body or thorax.
What to tie with it
Use it in dubbing loops when you want the fibers to stand out and look leggy, or spin it in split thread for a more controlled, brushy profile. You can also dub it directly onto thread, but it really shines when you’re building fuller streamer bodies and rougher nymph thoraxes where you want that messy, alive texture.
Flies and the fish they're for
This material is right at home in generic buggy nymphs and attractor nymphs for trout in rivers and tailwaters, where that extra sparkle and leggy silhouette help a thorax look alive in the drift. It also fits streamer bodies for trout and smallmouth in moving water, especially when you want a little flash and a fuller profile without adding separate rubber legs.

Compared to regular Ice Dub, Creepy Crawley Ice Dub tends to build a slimmer body with similar flash, but it’s less buggy and less leggy overall.
