What it is
Hareline Flashabou Tubing is a braided minnow-body tubing made from Flashabou. It has a removable core, so you can slide it over the hook or a shank to build a body fast. In the water it stays flashy and gives you instant volume with a realistic baitfish look.
What to tie with it
Use it for baitfish bodies and attractor bodies, from small flies up into bigger profiles. The normal move is to slip the tubing over a core and secure it at the ends, then trim and finish a head; you can also stack lengths to change diameter and taper. It’s built for quick, clean bodies without a lot of wrapping.

This material fits right into Flashabou-heavy baitfish streamers and other flashy attractors that are fished anywhere predators key on small minnows. Tied as a minnow body, it’s a natural for trout and smallmouth in rivers and stillwaters, and it also crosses over cleanly to saltwater baitfish patterns for species like redfish and striped bass in bays, surf, and tidal rivers.
How it compares
Compared to building a wrapped flash body with Hareline Pearlescent Flat Tinsel, Flashabou Tubing is easier to use and gives you more instant volume. Flat tinsel will still make a flashy body, but it takes more wrapping work to get the same built-out profile.
