What it is

Hareline Hare’E Wiggle Dub is rabbit dubbing mixed with thin rubber legs. It dubs easily but keeps a buggy, broken-up profile, and those rubber fibers add natural movement once the fly is in the water.

What to tie with it

Use it anywhere you’d normally build a dubbed body or thorax, then let the rubber “legs” pick out as you spin and wrap your noodle or touch-dub in a loop. It’s a good choice for nymph thoraxes, buggy emerger bodies, and streamer bodies where you want motion without adding separate leg material. It also fits right into shrimp patterns as a scruffy body or hotspot-style thorax section.

Flies and the fish they're for

Fish it in buggy nymphs and emergers for trout in rivers and tailwaters, where that little bit of wiggle can suggest legs and trapped gas. In warmwater buggy patterns, it’s right at home for smallmouth and panfish in creeks, rivers, and ponds when you want a lively, crawly silhouette. In shrimp-style flies, it’s a natural fit for saltwater and brackish flats situations where shrimp are a key food.

How it compares

Compared with Senyo’s Shaggy Dub, Hare’E Wiggle Dub gets its movement from fine rubber legs, while Shaggy Dub is built with micro-sized Life Flex silicone. You can blend them to stack the rubber-leg wiggle with extra shag for an even buggier look.
