It’s also a key material in Walt’s Worm variations, a go-to for trout in pressured water when you want a simple, buggy profile. Tyers also lean on it for patterns like the Bread-n-Butter and Black-n-Tan, commonly fished as trout nymphs in moving water and on indicator or tight-line rigs.

Compared to Hareline’s Dubbin, Hare’s Ear Plus Dub has a similar spiky, buggy texture, but adds Antron for flash. Hareline’s Dubbin is a rabbit fur blend with guard hairs and does not include the Antron sheen.
