What it is
Hareline Hen Saddle is a pack of hen saddle feathers with a supple stem and soft, webby fibers. Those fibers breathe and pulse in the water, so even a simple wrap gives you natural movement without needing much else on the hook.
What to tie with it
Use the fibers for nymph tails and legs, and wrap the feather for soft hackle and wet fly collars. The webby, softer feather also works well as a streamer collar, along a streamer body, or for small Matuka-style wings and claws on crab and crayfish patterns.
