Hareline Magnum Bling Rabbit Strips

What it is

Hareline Magnum Bling Rabbit Strips are rabbit fur strips cut from Grade A rabbit hide with holographic and fluorescent accents built in. In the water, rabbit has that natural texture and lifelike movement that breathes on the pause, and the magnum cut is sized for bigger profiles. The hide is durable enough to take repeated strikes without turning to mush.

What to tie with it

Use it for large streamer bodies and tails, either as a full-length Zonker-style strip over a dubbed or chenille underbody or palmered as a wrap for thick, wiggly bodies. It’s also a natural fit for Double Bunny bodies where you sandwich a strip top and bottom for maximum pulse. Tied thin, it still gives you a lot of movement for leech patterns.

Flies and the fish they're for

Zonkers tied with these strips are classic trout streamers for rivers and tailwaters, and they also cross over to bass water when you want a bigger, faster meal. Double Bunny-style flies are staple big-fish streamers for trout as well as warmwater fish like bass and pike, especially in lakes and slower river stretches where that rabbit strip can swim and flare. The same rabbit-strip leech approach is commonly fished for trout and bass in freshwater, and the larger magnum size is also at home in saltwater patterns for predatory species when you want movement and durability.
