What it is

Hareline Mono Nymph Eyes are pre-made nymph eyes made from synthetic mono. They give a realistic look without adding weight, and they’re lightweight, durable, and easy to tie in.

What to tie with it

Use them anywhere you want defined eyes on a nymph or streamer: tie them in on stonefly nymphs, hex nymphs, dragonfly nymphs, and damselfly nymphs. They also work well on lightweight streamers like Schminnows when you want the profile of eyes but don’t want to change sink rate with weighted eyes.

Flies and the fish they're for

Schminnows are a natural fit for these eyes, giving you a clean baitfish head without weight; they’re commonly fished for trout in rivers and stillwaters and also for warmwater fish like smallmouth in streams and lakes. On damsel and dragon nymph patterns, mono eyes help sell the silhouette for trout and panfish around weed beds in lakes and ponds. On larger stonefly and hex nymphs, the realistic eyes are a nice touch for trout in rivers where those big nymphs are a staple food.
