Hareline Olive Barred Magnum Rabbit Strips

What it is

Hareline Magnum Rabbit Strips are beefy rabbit-fur strips cut from rabbit hides. The fur is soft and pliable, stays durable on the strip, and in the water it breathes and pulses with exceptional movement. The magnum cut gives you a wider strip and longer fur for building bigger profiles.

What to tie with it

Use it for zonker-style wings and for wrapping or palmering to make thick, buggy streamer and leech bodies. It’s also a clean way to build large-profile baitfish shapes, and you can glue strips together for double-bunny style flies. The wider strip makes it easier to cover the hook shank fast when you want bulk without a lot of extra materials.

Rabbit strips are at home in Rabbit Zonkers and other zonker streamers fished for trout in rivers and tailwaters when you want a baitfish look with lots of motion. In larger baitfish streamers and double-bunny style patterns, this magnum size fits bass and pike work where a bigger silhouette matters in lakes and slower water. That same big, moving rabbit profile also crosses over to saltwater-style baitfish and shrimp silhouettes for inshore species when you’re fishing strips or jetties.
