What it is
The Hareline Peak Accessory Shaft is a compact, lightweight, durable accessory shaft that attaches to a PEAK tying setup to give you an extra mounting point right off the vise. It’s meant to hold and organize tools and vise-mounted accessories so they’re right where your hands already are at the bench.
What to tie with it
You don’t tie flies with the shaft itself; you use it to mount fly-tying tools and accessories on your vise so the tying process is cleaner and faster. It’s built to accept any accessory designed to mount on a 3/8" diameter shaft, and it’s compatible with both PEAK’s pedestal base and C-clamp setups.
Flies and the fish they're for
This is a bench-organization accessory, not a fly material, so it isn’t tied into specific patterns. In practice it helps no matter what you’re tying, from small trout dries and nymphs where tool placement matters for fine thread control, to big freshwater and saltwater streamers where having tools parked on the vise keeps the workspace from getting crowded while you spin hair, stack materials, and manage larger hooks and heavier thread.
