What it is
The Hareline Peak Brass Riser is a fly-tying vise riser made from solid brass with a polished finish. It lifts your vise about 1.5 inches, giving a sturdier, more stable platform with a non-slip base that stays put on the bench.
What to tie with it
This is bench hardware, not a tying material, so it doesn’t go on the hook. You use it to raise the vise for better visibility and hand clearance when you’re working in tight spots, and to stabilize the vise during tying. It’s commonly paired with a Peak Pedestal Base or C-Clamp and fits vises that use a 3/8-inch diameter riser shaft.
Flies and the fish they're for
This riser doesn’t tie into a specific pattern, but it helps on any fly where extra access around the hook matters. Bigger streamers for bass, stripers, and redfish are easier when you’ve got more room under your hands and tools, and tiny trout dries and nymphs benefit from the improved sightline when you’re stacking materials and finishing small heads. If you tie a mix of freshwater and saltwater flies, the added height is just a comfort and control upgrade across the board.
