What it is
Hareline Posted Dome Eyes are lightweight, tough plastic eyes built on a ribbed tie-in post. The domed profile gives a more 3D, realistic look at the head, and some options include a two-toned iris and pupil. Because they’re posted, you lash them in like a mini dumbbell without adding much weight.
What to tie with it
Use them anywhere you want prominent eyes without changing sink rate much: lash the post down on top of the shank, on the underside, or between shanks on articulated rigs, then lock them in with tight figure-eights and a hard thread base. They’re a clean fit for streamers and predator flies, and they also work well on popper and frog-style heads where you want a domed eye set into the profile. They’re for the look and the silhouette, not for building a jigging fly.
