What it is

It comes in long lengths that are easy to stack, blend, or cut down for smaller flies.

What to tie with it

Use it for streamer wings and tails when you want sparkle without adding much bulk, and it also works well as an accent mixed into other wing materials. It shines in a dubbing loop or spun into a dubbing brush for collars, shoulders, and body wraps where the kinky fibers help build a water-moving profile. It’s also a simple way to add “just a little flash” to classics like Woolly Buggers and nymph patterns.

It also shows up in Deceiver-style baitfish patterns and mullet or sardine-type profiles, which are standard saltwater and nearshore flies for species like striped bass, redfish, and other baitfish-eaters, and can be used as a little trigger under shrimp-style eyes for flats species.
