What it is
Hareline Stash Pods are organizer pods for fly-tying fibers, built to keep long, flashy materials under control at the bench. Each pod is sized for 6-inch fibers and uses a thread-through access slot so you can pull material out without dumping the whole compartment. The pod has 20 compartments and an adhesive-backed mount so you can stick it where you want it and keep your tying area tidy.
What to tie with it
These don’t go on the hook, but they make tying with long flash and similar fibers faster because you can dispense a few strands at a time and keep the rest clean and untangled. They’re also handy for storing post yarn for dry flies so it stays separated and ready to grab when you’re building posts or wings.
Flies and the fish they're for
This is a bench tool rather than a tying material, so it won’t show up in a recipe the way a feather or dubbing does. Where it pays off is in the kinds of flies that lean on long flashy fibers and post yarn: baitfish streamers for smallmouth, stripers, and redfish, and posted dry flies for trout on rivers and spring creeks.
