What it is
Hareline Strung Fuzzy Fiber is a strung bundle of synthetic fuzzy fibers with a wavy, crinkled look. The fibers are long with a semi-coarse texture, and they’re durable while still moving well in the water. Because it’s strung, you can pull off consistent clumps and build bulk quickly without adding much weight.
What to tie with it
Use it for streamer wings, tails, and bodies when you want fast volume and a full baitfish profile. It also shines in a dubbing loop for blunt-faced, bulkhead-style heads, where the crinkle helps it stand out and push water. Beyond streamers, it’s a good pick for crab bodies and for trailing nymph shucks when you want a synthetic, durable, wispy tailing material.

In the Chosen One, Strung Fuzzy Fiber is used to build a big, moving streamer profile that’s commonly fished for trout, especially as a bank-hugging or structure-oriented meal in rivers and stillwaters. In the Articulated Geezer, it fits the articulated streamer game for larger trout, where that quick-bulk head and wavy fiber movement help the fly swim and hold its shape through repeated eats.
How it compares
Against Steve Farrar Blend, Strung Fuzzy Fiber is less crinkled and tends to build volume faster, but it doesn’t include the fine flash that Farrar Blend has. Compared to EP Fibers, it’s less limp and easier to work into a dubbing loop, and the strung format makes it simpler to control clump size; EP Fibers aren’t strung and can be harder to manage for that same looped, bulky head.
