What it is
Hareline Uni Big Fly Thread is a large-diameter fly-tying thread made of polyester. It’s built to take high tension without popping, and it untwists easily so you can lay it flat when you want a wide, smooth band of thread on the hook.
What to tie with it
Use it anywhere you need to cinch down bulky materials on big hooks, like bucktail wings on oversized streamers or heavy stacks of synthetic fiber. It’s a go-to for spinning and packing deer hair on bass bugs, and for building durable thread heads on large patterns.
