RIO Products GT Mono Tippet

RIO GT Mono Tippet is heavy monofilament tippet for Giant Trevally fishing around coral and sharp structure. RIO positions it around larger diameters and higher break strengths to reduce cut-offs, with an emphasis on abrasion resistance. They also call out that it stays supple enough to cinch and seat larger saltwater knots cleanly.

Across the sizes we stock, the change is straightforward: you’re choosing between 80lb, 100lb, 120lb, and 150lb break strengths, all on 30-yard spools. This is a tippet choice for contact with structure, not a small-fly or fine-leader application.
