Glacier travel and high-altitude use is what the Smith Embark is aimed at. The standout is Smith’s ChromaPop Glacier PhotoChromic lens option, plus removable TPU side shields to cut glare and wind when you want the extra coverage. For fit, it’s a large frame with a 58 mm lens width, 45 mm lens height, 16 mm bridge, and 145 mm temples. Adjustable temple arms and auto-lock hinges make them easier to get on and off, especially with a hat or buff. Smith adds a goggle-style retainer strap, and anti-fog and hydrophobic coatings. Frame material is Smith’s Evolve bio-based build. Hard case and microfiber bag are included.
