0@jjforaieAçu! Peacock bass themselves seemed almost too vivid to be real, appearing hand-painted in electric yellows, deep oranges, reds, greens, and blacks. Watching one materialize from the water, explode onto a fly, and disappear again into the jungle was such a privilege to experience.

0@jjforaieDeep into the Amazon in the Mamirauá Reserve, fishing for Arapaima, Tambaqui, and Arowana. The Arapaima (Pirarucu) were almost incomprehensible in person: ancient, armored, and enormous. Such a wild experience to have a 220+ lb fish on your line!
