What it is
Hareline Posted Dome Eyes are lightweight, ultra-realistic plastic eyes built around a ribbed post. The tough plastic holds up to teeth and abuse, and the post gives you a positive anchor point so the eyes stay put. On the finished fly they add a natural-looking target without adding much mass.
What to tie with it
Use them anywhere you want clean, consistent fly eyes, especially on streamer, popper, and frog-style heads. The ribbed post lets you set the eyes into a head and lock them in while you build thread wraps, resin, or other head material around the post. They’re a good fit for articulated builds where you need durability without loading the fly up with weight.
Flies and the fish they're for
