Umpqua XT500 BN Jig is a barbed jig hook for tying jig-style flies. It’s a 60-degree jig design meant to ride point-up and help reduce snagging. The hook uses a 1X long shank and a 1X heavy wire, which suits patterns that need a little more shank length and a sturdier hook. Umpqua also uses a low-profile micro barb, which makes it easier to pinch down or remove if you’re de-barbing.
